The City of Nice is very involved in NFC experimentations since they test the different ways of using a NFC mobile phone. Within the "Nice Ville NFC mobile" project, Veolia Transport will launch the BPass solution which transforms a NFC mobile into a support for transport tickets. This solution will include remote vending and real-time information.

BPass is one of the projects carried out in Nice to proove the efficiency of the NFC technology implemented in mobile phones. But the scale of use is very large (mbanking, authentication...).

BPass will be introduced in 2010 in the transport network of Nice Côte d'Azur.
