RATP has created IXXI a subsidiary specialised in the Network Management, including travellers information and electronic ticketing.

The group RATP ,  like  other transport groups -  SNCF with EFFIA and Canal TP , Veolia with Cityway or Transdev with Dryade- considers that it is necessary to have a separated structure to be able to give global  answers to the requests for proposals issued by transport authorities , as Network management must cover all the types of transport ( bus, metro , train ...) .

IXXI will position itself all along  the value chain in its domains of competence:  advisor, systems developer, services operator...

The new company will be managed by Philippe Vappereau , chairman of the Calypso Networks Association.
