Innovatron, the leading smartcard licensing company, is glad to
announce the signature of a new licensee for its Calypso technology
patents. Inside Contactless, the global leader in open-standard contactless payment and Near Field Communication (NFC) solutions, has signed a license with Innovatron for patents regarding contactless communication. These patents are used particularly in the emerging RFID market by the chips complying with the international standard ISO14443B. "The signature of the contactless patents license by INSIDE CONTACTLESS is an important landmark for the contactless industry." said Roland Moreno, the smart card inventor and CEO of Innovatron. "Contactless applications ease the life of all the users of smart objects around the world (smartcards, NFC phones, epassport...), INSIDE will help to strengthen this industry by joining efforts with Innovatron and its licensees to help establishing the stable technical basis required for contactless interoperability." |
