The Transportation Security Forum, organized by Wise Media, is a global symposium focusing on how to increase security while facilitating the circulation of people and goods. The event is endorsed by the European Commission and takes place in Paris at the Hyatt Regency Charles de Gaulle on May 28-29 (www.transportation-security-forum.com).

The fourth Transportation Security Forum will provide a snapshot of the status of regulations and legislation as well as best practices for hub security world-wide. The two-day conference and exhibition will also highlight state-of-the-art technologies available today to improve the performance of front-end and back-end processes in airports, railroad stations and seaports.

The Transportation Security Forum will focus on topics such as Hub Security, Passenger Screening and Smart Ticketing. Transport operators face the same problem all over the world: how can they ensure that the thousands of people moving in, out and through the public transportation system do so in a quick, secure and reliable way? The move towards smart ticketing is a growing trend with contactless cards and paper tickets beneÞting operators in terms of reduced running costs, and travelers in terms of greater convenience and speed, fewer queues and shorter check-in times.

Supported by Calypso Networks, the Transportation Security Forum sees a world-class panel of government and transportation industry representatives contribute to the conference. Among the invited speakers: Dr. Frank Paul, Head of Unit, Directorate General Justice Liberty and Security, European Commission - Norma Krayem, Co-Chair, Homeland Security, Defense and Technology Transfer Working Group - Let. Col. Abdullah Mohammed Al Jabri Act. Director General of Civil Status, Royal Oman Police - Laurent Petitmangin, Air France - Philippe Vappereau, President, Calypso Networks – Paul Korczac, Assistant Chief Officer MetroCard, NYC Transfer.
