Innovatron, the leading smartcard licensing company, is glad to announce the signature of a new licensee for its contactless technology patents.

ATMEL, the industry leader in the design and manufacture of advanced semiconductor, and one of the largest manufacturers of smartcard and contactless components has signed with Innovatron a license for patents regarding contactless communication. These patents are used particularly in the emerging RFID market by the chips complying with the international standard ISO14443B.
